Dehesa School offers a wide variety of field trips throughout the year. These are sponsored by the District and our Parent's Club. All field trips are subject to funding and student interest, but below you will find a list of field trips we traditionally do.
Oma's Pumpkin Patch - A trip for fifth grade and their kindergarten buddies to explore Oma's Pumpkin Patch.
San Diego Zoo - A trip to the San Diego Zoo for kindergarten, first grade, and middle school honor roll.
Water Conservation Garden- Cuyamaca College
Midway Museum - A trip for seventh and eighth grade to take a tour of the famous USS Midway.
Mission Trails Park - A trip for third and fourth grade to explore the natural landscape of San Diego.
San Juan Capistrano Mission - A fourth grade trip to a San Diego Mission to finish off their unit on the Missions of California.
Floating Lab - A fifth grade trip to explore San Diego's Bay on a science boat. Where the students conduct experiments with oceanographic equipment.
WaterFront Park - A middle school honor roll trip to explore the different gardens of the park.
Sea World - An eighth grade trip to celebrate their graduation.
Barnes and Noble - All year long our first through fifth grade students participate in our Accelerated Reading program and earn points through quizzes on books they have read. If a student gets enough points by the end of May they will get to go on a trip to Barnes and Nobles where they will get to pick out a book to keep. Afterwards they are treated to a picnic in a nearby park.
